Re: The never ending RotR-quiz
William and Mark.
& My question: This Welshman is probably the most superstitious player ever to play for Rovers. Who am I talking about?

Re: The never ending RotR-quiz
Where are all you ROTR geniuses? I can only think of a few welshmen at Rovers. I don't think Taffy Morgan was superstitious. Nor Vic Guthrie and I'm not sure that he was welsh anyway. That only leaves Ossie Jones from the 60's. Didn't he have a fear of a raven or something? It was before my time really. Was it Ossie Jones?

Re: The never ending RotR-quiz
ok a clue - it's not that they both represented England B when Roy was the manager. Although they both did, together with Rapper, Wes Harper, Gary Gunn and Roy himself.

Re: The never ending RotR-quiz
Selbridge! They were both transfered from Selbridge.
My question:
A great defender like McKay could stop him only 1 time out of 10 and then only at the expense of injuring himself. This high-priced individualist's Rovers career didn't last very long though, but he seemed to have impressed the Americans. And it all happened during the days of butcher Belkinsop as Melchester Rovers football director.

Re: The never ending RotR-quiz
I can remember this. I think it was at that time when both Wallace and Elliot got injured, but I could say his name tomorrow...

Re: The never ending RotR-quiz
This is a complete geuss. Was it Stan Frazer? If not can anyone remember him from ROTR in Tiger?

Re: The never ending RotR-quiz
Yes, this is the name.
This particular story appeared in Tiger Comic (sketched by Yvonne Hutton), at the time when Roy's story existed in both Tiger & RotR comics, during the years 1976-78.
