how big is your collection?
I wondered just how big your RotR collection are and which issues you'd certainly want to lay your hands on still?

Re: how big is your collection?
I have all Tiger Comic's RotR issues from November 1968 to 1976 and all RotR Comic's issues from 1976 to 1993, most of them in photocopies...

Re: how big is your collection?
I collected every Tiger and ROTR from 1969 until I migrated to Australia in 1985. As I was unable to bring my collection with me in my suitcases I only brought selected episodes. In Australia I continued to collect ROTR - which was delivered from UK by sea mail 3 months late - for a few months and then when they stopped being delivered to Australia on a regular basis I collected them whenever I could when I saw them in the newsagents. Occassionally I see old copies at Jumble Sales and add them to my collection and my partner surprises me every birthday and christmas with an Annual. I have most Annuals since 1980, so I am very proud of my collection.

Re: how big is your collection?
Well, compared to you guys my collection is kinda small, but 100 more comics arrived yesterday, so that brings me to:
-complete runs from the 1976-77 season to the 1986-87 season, part photocopies/part dutch albums and a few dozen copies of those years.
-1987 and 1988 runs with only a few missing
-1989, 1990 with a lot of gaps to fill in
-1991, 1992 and 1993 almost complete (missing 'the final whistle' for instance, but wasn't the story the end of 'the playing years'?)
-MotD in photocopies
-Half a dozen 'Best of monthlies', 1 annual (I'm not into it really), the 2 albums
What I'm really after now are the RotR monthlies from 1993 on and I'll still try to fill the 1989/1990 gaps.
Who still has (small) gaps to fill in, give a yell and I'll see I have 'em maybe (Strat, you missed only 4, which issues again?)

Re: how big is your collection?
Well I have all the story strips from '68 (I think) until the end (2001). I have many annuals, which I don't particularly fancy, Monthlies, Best of, Holiday + Winter specials, etc. Moreover I have all the weeklies apart from 5.
Here's my wants list:
WEEKLIES
1977: Apr: 2
1978: Apr: 15
1979: Feb: 3
1988: Nov: 26
1992: Oct: 17
HOLIDAY SPECIALS
1977 – 1982 – 1984 – 1990 – 1991
MONTHLIES
1990-93
All apart from Jul ’90 – Mar ’91 – May ’91 – Sep ’92 – Nov ‘92
BEST OF ROTR
#12 – 15 – 16 – 22 – 23 – 26
MotD
Oct – Nov – Dec ‘00
If anyone can help with any of these let me know ([email protected])

Re: how big is your collection?
I have been very lucky and manage to have all of the "Roy" weeklies.
I also managed to get hold of the 93-95 Monthlies and all of the "Best of" monthlies.
I think I have most of the Summer,Holiday,Winter Specials etc but I am still after the vast majority of the Monthly comics which followed the best ofs.

Re: how big is your collection?
Hi,
My name is Mika, I'm a designer at The Chase in Manchester. We are currently working on a highly confidential project (which will be revealed next year) involving great british comics and we wondered if any of you could help?
We need to photograph an early copy of Tiger comic. Ideally issue 1, but if not (it's a long shot!) preferably from between 1954-1957 or close to. We require it to be the same size/format as issue 1.
We don't mind if we buy a comic from a collector, loan/borrow or visit the collector to photograph the comic at it's current location. We understand the precious nature of such items and so are flexible on how we gain the photograph. We do, however, require our own commissioned photographer to take the photograph.
If there is any chance anyone could help, then they will most definitely be credited for it and all will be revealed soon.
